Oh my, you both sound like me! I'm also on disability, most of the time it needs to support 2. I gey $16/month for foodstamps, make too much money to be eligible for medicaid ($6.00 over limit) and am too young to be able to buy a medicare supplement. I just don't understant it and am frustrated from that and my pain. Specialists cost me $40 per visit so I can only do some of the specialist treatments per month. Then e money runs out way before the end of the month!

I hear that, lol!! I qualified for the $16 for 3 months, but you can only get it for 3 months in a 5 year period. I almost told 'em to keep it, but I used it to buy meat for those 3 months, instead, so I did get some use out of it, I guess. I used to not qualify for any of the medicaid programs, but since they upped the level for a medicaid cost of living increase, and DIDN'T increase my disability for a C.O.L. increase, I now qualify for the lowest program. I don't get much relief from all those 'treatments', so not qualifying for most medicaid doesn't hurt TOO much, for me. Thanks for your interest in my auctions, you've got some nice ones too! These are magical, crystal balls, and they require special handling in preparation for transferring ownership (it's not really ownership but more like a Regency), and I haven't another prepared as yet. I do would you like one? CountryWitch77 won the last one for 1343, but the minimum possible GIN is 2000... I can lower the s&h fron $2.49 to $2.09, though, if that'll help. I'd make it Free Shipping, but I'm on Disability, and my check doesn't quite cover my mortgage and Utilities, let alone my parasite son and his family, so I have to get s&h up front, sorry.

Yes I do want one of the pyrite ones and I'll message you my email so you can send me some photos of the other pendulums. I don't mind paying a couple of bucks for shipping. I'm on disability also and I just started getting child support so welfare decided that I no longer needed food stamps. Makes a lot of sense. Take away the money I just started getting that would have helped me get ahead and make me spend it all on groceries. I'm so frustrated! So I understand. Brightest Blessings.

I hear you! Every dollar forward they take one from the rear! I got a small cost of living increase this year for the first time in three years, and it was just enough to cause my income to exceed by $3 the limit for qualifying for a Medicaid supplement to my Medicare part D that pays my Medicare copays, so now, after my raise, I have less usable income than before the raise!!! I'll send pics, etc.

Disability is no picnic here either, my own gov't doesn't recognize my condition so I am not eligible for disability support , yet my Dr signed me off saying I am not employable so my husband I try to get by on his disability income -no food stamps here and I am not eligible for welfare its a damned if you do damned if you don't but I am not giving up hope ☆

Yeah, my sister suffers from that, too, if you are talking about fibromyalgia! For years she's struggled to try and get either disability, medicare, medicaid or any other aid for her pain and upkeep, and for years she failed, and then about 6 months ago, they finally approved her for Disability and Medicare! She's still got her chronic pain, but she's overjoyed because, while her pain remains, for the 1st time in her life she's receiving professional treatment for it, and is able to afford the medications the doctors prescribe due to Medicare prescription drug coverage. Often Disability and the attendant health coverages are won through perseverance and putting in claim after claim until the Social Security Administration finally gives you what you've deserved from the start. The key is to never give up on trying...and sooner or (probably) later the board WILL approve you! I hope that will happen for you sooner rather than later!

No Victor hun I suffer from Syringomyelia, a disorder that destroys the spinal cord from the inside out. I am losing my upper arms and my legs I live in 15 mins intervals throughout the day and night very difficult to be normal but as this is my new normal I make the best of it each and every day, I always say stay positive stay strong! I'm in Canada, no SSI here just provincial heathcare, however there is a phone number on the back of your medicare and medicaid cards tell your sister to call them and ask for a care social worker they can put her in touch with further resources as well as a personal care worker.
