Dont know what you mean by markings, but they have a white stopper on both of them.

Mevelt, the "markings" they are talking about generally come with "high end" ceramics/pottery/art, and they identify where the item comes from...sometimes the company and the artist's name. It's usually abbreviated, and only an expert or someone very studied on art and maybe art history. In other words, if something comes from the dollar store or out of JCPenny's it normally would not have markings. Great question though.
