I don't wear much jewelry so i am not familiar with the terms. Can you explain what gold filled means? I know that plated means only the outer layer is the precious metal, but I'm wondering why the filling would be more precious than the plating. Please forgive me if this is just a ridiculous question, id just like a little more information before I decide to bid. Thanks for the opportunity to win such a beautiful piece!
I'm new to selling jewelry myself, and if I tried to explain it I would probably just get you more confused. Keep in mind I'm not a jeweler (obviously lol), and the info I use as description is from my distributor. This link below is the best to answer your question... It helped me a lot.. it has pictures, so its visually easier to understand. Thanks for asking a great question! http://www.heirlume.co/blogs/gift-guide/9506971-the-ultimate-guide-to-differentiate-solid-filled-and-plated-gold-jewelry
So it's 10kt black gold filled not 14k black gold filled as stated in the header, AND the description? Very pretty ring, I never even knew their was such a thing as black gold, hmmm learn something now everyday I guess.
