PURPLE STRIPE EASY PEEL GARLIC is an Italian Rocambole variety which means it grows better in colder climates. Was brought into the USA from Italy around a century ago.
Flavor is rich and strong BUT is milder than than other hot and spicy varieties. Great taste and doesn't burn your tongue. Also seems to do well in wet conditions. If you love garlic but not the burn, this is for you! I love this garlic! Very prolific also!
Most of my other varieties of garlic didn't do so well due flooding in spring then we had drought in early to mid summer but this one really held up!
I am using a picture of the bulbils but this auction is for actual cloves (3-4)
Harvest in early summer. Stores in fall to mid winter. Not a long storing garlic BUT really worth growing if you like garlic!!! Will be shipped in bubble envelope.
