Long Island Improved Brussel Sprout Seeds (85-115 days)

Originating around the 1890s

Long Island Improved is still the most popular variety even though it is sometimes mistaken for the "Catskill" strain developed by Arthur White of Arkport, NY in 1941.

Long Island Improved is a much older variety even though the two are similar.

Semi-dwarf plants are 20-24" high, with excellent yields of 1-2" flavorful brussel sprouts. This is a good variety to freeze.

Recommended by the Following State Universities or Ag Extension Offices as a variety that performs well for their region. CA, IL,

love these. i have grown these before but moved and lost all of my seeds. they are so yummy i cook them several different ways

I love them too! One way I really like them is cut in half and sautéed with a little chili oil and fresh red chilis. It is awesome. :-)

yes that is really good buy i have to limit any type of pepper that i eat cause i am very allergic lol. my favorite is to either cream it or cut in half and saute with a little onion, bacon and walnut yum
