Beautiful 18" nugget serpentine chain also known as Tinsel Chain or twisted serpentine chain. Silver Color. Round Eye Hook Closure. This necklace is marked both Monet on a tag and also marked Marvel Sterling. I do not know if it was altered prior to purchase or if this is original to vintage Monet. I am listing it only as silver colored because I am confused by two different tags & I have no way to know if it is Sterling throughout or tag by Marvel sterling. I did move a large earth magnet close to it and it did not pick it up. If I drag the chain over the earth magnet it glides easily and if I lay chain on the magnet sometimes it tries to stick a tad and other times it falls off. Maybe because of the other . 075 metals used in sterling. This necklace is beautiful but I cannot honestly confirm Monet used Marvel Sterling to make any chains.
