The listing, 1962 Topps #152 MICKEY VERNON (Washington Senators) has ended.
This is an original vintage 1962 Topps #152 MICKEY VERNON baseball card.
Talk about underrated! Mickey Vernon collected almost 2500 hits as a major leaguer including winning 2 batting championships (1946, 1953) and driving in over 1300 RBI. A 7-time All Star, he became a coach under Danny Murtaugh with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1960, a team which won a World Series Championship and for which Vernon activated himself in September to take 8 pinch-hit at bats, the last at bats of his career. The next year, he took over as the manager for the expansion Washington Senators.
Card is pictured. No creases and only mild vintage wear.
Thanks for looking, happy bidding, and good luck!
