no not from shelter, one was thrown out of a car window and one of my husband school friends called and ask us if she would take her in at Christmas time, so I named her jingles. another came from a home that could take care of her any longer due to a fire that took everything, that my baby sally, she is our largest 50lb standard dachshund. Then there is Bella, I did a trade for her. I found an Easter tree for my moms grave for my sister and rather then pay me back she gave me Bella that she found free. Love Bella anyways. Then There is Emmie, I got her from a breeder (family at the time) for my husband at the time he was drinking and had nothing to do with her, but at the same time I had taken in on (Tiny) that had to many babies and Lost one eye. Sweeties baby I every had. she was 15 and lived the rest of her life as my princess, she had no teeth and the only she like was donuts. She passed away while i was up in the Mountains taking care of my dad after he had a kidney removed due to cancer. My mom couldn't take care of him cause she had Parkinson's. My husband called me crying. So sad I was hours away and I called his dad to help him out. My last two I got from a breeder also. one was older and they couldn't sell her (Jazzy) she is in the picture. And my little two pound baby is Lilly. I forgot about Gracie she is a shih tzu given to me by my dad (due to the loss of my baby I had for 5 years that was put to sleep cause during a surgery her sugar dropped (Gabby). I called crying and wanting to consoled by my mom, I love them all and wished I could have more. Thanks for sharing your story, hope I didn't bore you with mine. I just love all animals.
