The listing, Silver Table Top Old Lighter, Occupied Japan. has ended.

Back when folks used to smoke indoors, tabletop lighters were common household items and this little silver toned genie lamp lighter brings some regency style to the setting.
***PLEASE NOTE*** The top Piece is VERY hard to get Out to fill it with Fluid and or Flint, I guess it was NEVER Used nor filled.
I Googled this exact Lighter and one said it is silver plated.
The finish is good: Marked on the underside as 'MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN" it's safe to guess that it was produced in the late 1930's to the early1940's.

Things marked made occupied Japan were 1947-1952. Great little piece.

I love collecting items marked "Occupied Japan" or Made in Occupied Japan." Both of these markings were a term used for the time period from 1945 (after War World II) through April 25' 1952. It was during this time that allies occupied Japan. Only 7 years which makes these type items in high demand. I fanned you and thanks for a very nice auction!
