this is a vs sassoon 1" barrel curling iron tried to use it a few times but my hair just will not curl so its just sitting around not being used happy bidding

it brand new i only used it one time but my hair is just not meant to hold a curl i really dont know much about using it on nappy hair or really about using it at all i just know that it cost around 40 bucks and has 25 different heat settings
