Auction Title: #677a- 50 coin shotgun roll crimped on one end-1891 Indian head and a 1957 wheat on ends
Auction Description: We acquired 4 shotgun rolls from an estate sale. Each roll had an indian head and a wheat on the ends. A sampling of one of these rolls reflected the following details. A 1859 Indian head,. 44% were unmarked wheat ranging from 1910 to 1949; 48% were Denver mint range from the 1940's to 1957, and 6% were San Francisco mint . One of which is a 1943S.
Up for auction is a roll from that estate.
As a norm-We do not open the rolls, as such we do not guarantee the rolls contents. Could be wheat, Indian head, and or Lincoln. Bid at own risk. Keep in mind that the 1859 Indian Head coin is the first year this coin was produced. It is a Low grade coin, but valuable to the avid coin collector.
Other information to consider: The earlier year production of Indian Head coins from 1859 thru 1899 are considered as being more desirable, therefore the value remains high due to collector demand. Today’s demand by collectors are willing to pay more to get a coin (1891) like this. Value is obviously placed on the coins condition. Consider this when placing your bids. All Listia Rules apply.
