airguide, that is the name of the compass/Co. that made this compass. I dont know anything else about this item ecept that it seems to be acurate,I put it next to another compass and they both read/ pointed in same direction. this has a two prong plugin (3rd pic), so I think there is a light in it but i have nothing to test it to see if it lights up and I don't want to burn it out/up if I put to much juice to it.. I also do not have the mount for it. what you see in the pic is what you get, nothing else as there is nothing else to it.nice item,also the cover on top does move over the top sphere, i guess to shade it from sunlight glare or somthing,anyway happy bidding & good luck. jc
