Coin looks fine. Of course u "clean" the dirt off using a coin cleaning solution that is sold specifically for cleaning coins is best...but if u don't have that a "non-corrosive" cleaner will be ok like brink said above...as long as u don't "polish" a coin...thats what u don't want to do...anyway great looking coin and I will be watching close...good luck and great find!

I may not have a degree that says I am a professional, but I am in no wise a novice. I have been in coin collecting for around 50 years, longer than most of you have been alive. Thanks for trying to ruin my auction by discouraging people to bid, with your comments.

well u shouldn't clean any coins except to get the dirt off with water maybe if u clean a coin it takes all the value away from the coin a even the most expensive coin after being cleaned loses its value look it up u can clean ancient coins with water and a toothbrush to get the dirt off but thats about all u would want to do any more then that and the value is gone

Yes, coins that have been in the ground for 100 to 150 years are not going to have much value, beside historical. Unless they happen to be silver or gold, Then most likely, just melt value.

I would LOVE to own this for my collection just for the historical value. It does not looked polished to me, looks good. I am going to bid all I've got on this one.

It's not polished. I just cleaned off the gunk so you could see the details on the coin.
Thanks for your interest.
