DESCRIPTION:
High-yielding burgundy beans. 16-20" long beans are borne in clusters of two to four beans each. Healthy, vigorous plants with climbing vines and easy to grow. Bears loads of slender, very long pods that are best picked when less than 18 in. long. It has a delicious nutty flavor; try it steamed, stir-fried or sautéed. Keep beans picked for continuous bearing; shell mature pods and use as dried beans. Burgundy color may fade when cooked. Red/mottled seeds. 50 seeds. 85 days to maturity.

DIRECT SEEDING:
Sow seeds 1" deep, spaced 3" apart in rows 4' apart after soil temperature exceeds 60°F (16°C). Use a pole or trellis to allow the vines to climb.
HARVEST:
Pick pods when they are 18” long or shorter. Watch for expansion of the pod as it matures. Pods are best eaten while tender but mature pods can be shelled for beans.
STORAGE:
Dry the beans completely and store in a cool, dry container for several months.
