The listing, Antique hat pin * Free * has ended.
I think that it's made of rose gold ( not sure ) it has been put away for more than 60 yrs. I was told that it is from the 30's or 40's at any rate it would make a fine addition to anyone's collection !!! Thank you for reading, all Listia rules apply etc.

Thanks pghendrickson!! I really appreciate that. Thanks leanonme but its too late now. I will bid close to the end. I will make sure I win.
This is just beautiful, I collect cameos, and for some unknown reason I got some hatpins I fell in love with too! So now I collect cameo hatpins! F&W! Thanks for putting this up there!
Thank you so much ! We only have the one, and think it would be better in a collection with others. It is really a nice one to ! We hope that you bid to Win!!! And thanks again for the nice comment and for looking !
I understand completely. If you look on my page you would see a plastic or celluloid cameo. They are actually really nice. Good luck maybe I can end up with this beautiful piece.
I just didn't want anyone to think that I would list it with a plastic setting, because I would just have listed something else ! Thank you again ! You are a very nice person.
I believe the cameo piece is actually a mid-19th century single earring that was converted to a hatpin. It looks like hardstone, and the style is more 1850s-1870s. Many heirloom pieces like this were held onto and converted into more useful and modern pieces, like hatpins, which came into vogue more into the 1900s-1930s. It is likely solid rose gold, probably 10K, with a hardstone (agate) cameo, and pin attached to top of broken earring wire.
Thank you, Any information about it is welcome. And it very well may be ? I wonder if there is a mate to it somewhere ? Well if it is they did a good job on it. Thanks again and keep an eye out I have more antiques coming !
