Two ways to determine if it's real jade
1. Is the stone cold like marble or slate ?
2. (This one is fascinating) wrap a strand of hair around it and use a match or lighter and try to burn the hair that is touching the stone Jade will not allow the hair to burn but if the stone does not pass the first test do not attempt it may be resin or plastic
