It is really pretty compote that can be used at parties for condiments such as nuts, or mints. This beautiful bowl has a weighted sterling silver bottom, and a glass top which appears to be diamond cut glass / crystal. The glass portion is made to unscrew from the bottom sterling portion. I am guessing if you don't want to use the top portion for serving, you can use the bottom portion for a candle. This item is in great condition, but could use a little cleaning polishing with silver polish. This would look great at a wedding reception or any social, or just set it around your house. This is a really nice piece.
The glass candy dish is in great condition with no chips or cracks. The candy dish is approximately 4 1/4" high. The diameter of the glass dish is approximately 6" and the diameter of the base is approximately 2 1/2". This candy dish would be great for the holidays for serving mints, nuts, or candy.
