is it solid or plated sterling silver

Hi Regulus, the wire used is just non tarnishing jeweler's wire. As far as the chain, I bought ( 100 ) 925 chains. It was always my understanding that 925 stood for Sterling Silver. I later bought some other jewelry ( not necessarily from the same party), that was stamped 925 and when I wore one of the rings it turned copper. That has been some time back and I have distributed a lot of chains and never claiming that they were S.S. I wear them and my family wears them and so far no complaints. As far as I know they are supposed to be S.S. but I wouldn't place my reputation on it. If they are plated it must be a good plate. I hope that I have answered your question. God bless.
