its a portable speaker!
u can use an ac out 4 louder audio, batteries, or no batteries but i would recommend to use batteries because without them u can barely hear them.

yes its a 3.5 mm jack. the speaker gonna sound really low u gotta buy batteries or a av 6volt plug u can find them on ebay or amazon

Ok, this may be a dumb question. In my town, we have an authentic drive in theater. When we go we sit in the back of the truck, but since his truck doesn't have a sliding back glass it's sometimes hard to hear the movie. Could this in any way be used to help with that?
