DESCRIPTION: An heirloom from Russia, it bears large 8-12 oz. dark tomatoes with a rich, deep purplish-brown color. The best tasting of all the dark tomatoes we’ve grown! Very dense, old-fashioned flavor, sweet and tangy. Makes a wonderful sauce! Indeterminate. 25 seeds. 70 days to maturity.

DIRECT SEEDING:
Warm climate gardeners may direct-sow tomato seeds outdoors if they have 120-150 days of frost-free weather. Sow seeds 30 to 48 inches apart in a row with the rows spaced 48 inches apart. Seedlings emerge in 7-10 days at 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit.

INDOOR SEEDING/TRANSPLANTING:
Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last spring frost. Keep moist and under good quality light. Place containers in a south facing window or under grow lights until seedlings emerge.

HARVEST:
Indeterminate varieties bear fruit continuously till frost. Pick tomatoes when they are as ripe as possible--they should be fully colored and firm; pick regularly to avoid overloading plants. When you know there will be a frost, pick all the almost-ripe tomatoes you can, and ripen them in brown bags or spread on newspapers at room temperature.

STORAGE:
Some cultivars can store for months. Store only sound fruit, at 50-60°F.

Hi, I will bag the seeds in an appropriately sized ziptop bag, usually 2"x2" for large seeds/quantities and 1"x1" for small. I also include planting instructions for each variety sent and mail them via USPS first-class mail in a standard letter envelope.

Interesting! I'm from the south and didn't know other colored tomatoes existed!

I love playing with color in the garden and in the kitchen. I try to have one variety of each color per season and so far have red, yellow, orange, purple, black, green, white, pink and brown tomatoes! Check out my other listings if you're interested :)
