Questions & Comments
i am in too quilting as well you said u use these for tacking quilts? how do u do that? would u gin? 1,077? &are these the twisted thread? I love working with them! :)
When I say tacking or tatting ..really dk. Is away to hold quilts together w/o having to stich all over. Usually embroidery thread pulled thru quilt layers and tied at the top about every so many inches or so apart.Good and strong for this and you can have little colored threads matching the quilt top. I have problems with carpel tunnel and can't hand stitch that much. I do mine on the sewing using a bonding spray and then for deco I will use embroidery thread too
I know how it feels I to have carpultunnel n it hurts! + arthritis in both hands I make quilt for disabled people in wheelchair n children in hospital with cancer! so by the grace of god helping me i'm enjoying what I do!
Yes mam it is. 6 individual little threads twisted together into one strand of cotton embroidery thread. (LOL)As stated_ "full-unused skeins. These are new but I have had them on hand for some time now. I use this type of thread for tacking quilts and I have over 100 skeins in my box. So; I had some to spare.
