Description

The listing, "Authentic" 1915 Capital Stock certificate "The Pullman Company" has ended.

This auction is for 40 shares at $100/share dated july 6, 1915. I got this when I remodeled an old building a guy was turning into an Ebay store and he had lots of things he said I could take with me and this was in some of the items I chose. Very good condition! Very nice piece to add to your collection of fine antiques. Its said to be (not sure) Abe Lincoln's sons railroad coach building company. Its also written at the top of the certificate.

I'm interested in everything History. I found that interesting also and I even seen the exact Capital Stock pictured in your auction except it was made out to someone else and for much less shares.

I did some research on this and the founder George Pullman died in 1897 and that's when Abraham Lincoln's son, Robert Todd Lincoln became President of the company. Pullman purchased the Standard Steel Car company during the depression and renamed the company Pullman-Standard Car Manufacturing Co. The cars ceased production in 1982

Also old documents such as this were penned in iron ink and I'm pretty sure that is what this is written in. I wasn't sure if you might have known that or not
