I did tested them and they do work. There is plenty of static which should be expected with a lower end monitor like this but I was able to make out what was being said. I don't think the name should be "Crystal Clear", maybe more like "Kinda Clear" or "Clear Enough." Amazon's review had 3 out of 5 stars. Hope that helps in your decision making.
