my ex-husband gave me this when we first started dating and he said it was hand made real gold, im not buying his story, there are no marks inside saying that it is real and i thought i saw this same ring in a catalog somewhere however i have had it for about 8 years and have never worn it and it is not tarnished. it is a beautiful ring with a gold band and small diamond like gems surrounding a large purple stone. again i don't think its real but im not positive. im am not sure of the size i think it is a 7 or 8

your stone looks to be real, I used to work at a jewelry store that soled diamonds and gem stones. And from then pics it may be real.
