Questions & Comments
Near Mint-Almost Perfect with virtually no wear. No significant printing flaws. Covers must be essentially lustrous with sharp corners. Spine is tight as new. In older comics, minimal color fading is acceptable, as is slight aging of the paper. Very Fine-Well preserved, still pleasing in appearance. There are small signs of wear, most particularly around the staples of the spine. Most luster is readily visible. Corners may no longer be sharp but are not rounded. Typical of a comic read only a few times and then properly stored (these are what most comics are that you find in boxes at your local comic shop).
FineClean, presentable, with noticeable signs of wear. Some white may show through around the staples and moderate rounding of the corners. No tape or writing damage. Book still lies flat. Very GoodA well worn reading copy with some minor damage, such as creasing, small tears, or cover flaking. Some discoloration may be evident, with obvious wear around the staples. Little luster remains and some rolling of the spine may be seen when the comic is laid flat on a table. Good-A fully intact comic with very heavy wear. Tears, cover creases, flaking and rolled spine will be evident. No tape repairs are present. Fair-A comic that has definitely seen better days. Comic may be soiled and damaged on the cover and interior. Entire comic is completely intact. Poor- damaged to unrecognizable. Interior or exterior pages may have cut-outs or writing. The cover may be missing. Missing or tape repaired pages may be present.

I really appreciate the info! But even with the grading system there would still be disagreements among collectors, opinions differ. That is why I would much rather let people judge for themselves. I don't want them to bid based on my judgment and be dissatisfied. I do however make judgment calls when I know for certain that an item is in very good condition without any major flaws or defects. Thanks again though for taking the time to give me this information I do indeed appreciate it and I will copy and save it to at least give me guidelines to consider when listing older worn comic books.
you can google comic grading! I don't grade other peoples comics, way too subjective, this is a great issue with a cool story, I bought it new off the shelf in 1968, oops, dated myself! have a great day!
I knew I could find grading info on comic books, but I just choose not to grade them because there is still always difference in opinions between collectors. Have you still got this one and is it still in like new condition? Oh, by the way I thought I would let you know in honor of my one year anniversary today with Listia I have pre-listed a very nice 15 coin auction scheduled to start at 7:00 PM. I may list some other nice auctions as well later on. Thanks again and I hope you have a great day as well! :)
