there are no scratches or playback issues with the movie...we are avid movie lovers/collectors...we are the only owners and it was purchased new, so it is not a former rental....we don't have kids - - - except furry ones, and so far, they don't know how to use the dvd player ;) so there are no little finger prints either...the only reason we are selling them is we are moving our entire collection to blu-ray
