This plant can be used in the filters of aquariums, it can also be used safely with aquatic life, terrariums and reptiles. I personally use it in my aquarium filters, it adds a nice accent and helps to filter the water as well. Check out some youtube videos about this if your curious. Thanks.
For soil medium growing:Grow pothos in a commercial potting mix with good drainage. Ensure the planting pot has adequate holes in the bottom for drainage. Pothos doesn’t tolerate moisture at its roots. Give the pothos bright, indirect sunlight. Low-light situations cause the foliage to lose variegation. Too much sunlight can burn the foliage. Keep the temperature in the room in which the pothos is growing between 70 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Fertilize the pothos with 19-16-12 fertilizer at the rate listed on the package for the size of the pot in which your pothos is growing. Reapply every three months from spring to fall.
Place the plant in the sink and rinse the dust from the leaves at least twice during the growing season. Not only does this make the pothos more attractive, but it also discourages pests.
