The listing, Hollyhock Seeds*Gorgeous Deep Red 30-40 GIN Seeds GIN! Organically Grown has ended.
Wow! These will get attention and make all your neighbors envious! This was a new color for me last year, love it!
Up to 8' tall spikes of beautiful rich deep Red flowers will add color to your garden or yard. They bloomed first year, and bloomed at the top until Sept. 8 last year. Sometimes they will form leaves and strong roots, bloom the next season. Be patient-its worth it!
Easy to grow, plant now for blooms next year, maybe this summer!
Zones 3-9
Our most popular flower seeds
Plant in the spring or fall and cover with leaves, straw, grass clippings, or mulch in cold areas.
Perfect along a fence, house, garage, or retaining wall.
Seem to be slightly drought tolerant, I do not water them very often.
Usually do not need staking unless there are very strong winds. A customer asked about a trellis. It would be great behind them, but not a necessity at all.
Hollyhocks are fairly short~lived, I have heard around 3 years, so be sure to scatter some seeds every year to make sure they never stop. They will also drop some seeds naturally.
The flowers and leaves are edible, to decorate cakes, etc. We never use chemicals in our gardens.
The lucky winner will receive 30 fresh seeds from 2014 plants.
*If the auction goes over 1,200 credits or GIN is used you will receive 40 seeds.
