The listing, New .925 Sterling Silver Titanium Druzy Ring has ended.

Size 8 beautiful titanium druzy in a .925 sterling silver bezel setting that has no prongs to catch on anything and protects the stone more.

Setting is approximately 5/8" wide by 3/4" high. Made in India.

Druze, or druse, is a layer of tiny crystals that forms inside the cavity of a rock or on a rock's surface. Druzy quartz, for example, results from the rapid cooling of silica deposited on a rock by water. Druze can form on a variety of mineral surfaces.

Appearance

Titanium is one of several metals that are sometimes applied to druze to enhance its appearance. In a vacuum chamber a thin layer of titanium vapor is deposited on the druze crystals. Titanium intensifies the color of the underlying crystals and gives them an iridescent appearance.
