I believe this too is McCoy pottery, but don't hold me to it!!! I cannot remember my pottery companies any longer. She has a trim of gold around her and the "Badlands, So. Dak. in gold on the dish center. From the 50's. Enjoy bidding.
Questions & Comments
I'm no expert; but, the way "Made in USA" is printed on the bottom side of it, I believe this could possibly be a Hull piece. Regardless, it's beautiful. Very nice auction. =)
maziemiles, I'm not an expert. It doesn't say 'Hull'. However, some Hull items were not marked later and while the business was still going; because at one point the Hull Company was unionized and were no-longer marked Hull, even though they were, Then, the government made the union disperse because they were being unfair to other workers that were non-union. This eventually caused the business to go defunct. Good luck on your auction. =D
Thanks for your information. There was a time when I was quite a bit younger that I was truly interested in pottery and the companies, however, for some reason my memory of all this has faded. I love the stuff and have more, but cannot share here as the shipping would give me heart failure! I appreciate your help. Love your wedding photo!
It is a beautiful piece and on mint condition but I am not sure others collect or use dishes like this candy dish. I suspect I will have to start charging shipping as others do to avoid my heavy expenses! Still learning!
I know about the 15 credits, but look how reasonable it is going for and I still have to ship it. 15 credits is nothing compared to that expense. It seems that I have to rethink what I am going to place on here. Have a great week end.
