Thanks for asking this question.. This type of nail gun for framing homes uses a compressor to power it. It does not run on battery or electric.

It's pneumatic. It runs on air from an air compressor. No electricity required.

The nails that are with the gun are shown in the picture. I believe they are called T head because they look like a T.
It may take other kinds too I am not sure.

Nice auction. I wanted to add this is what we call a trim gun.It won't shoot a nail big enough to frame a house. We have bigger guns that take more air pressure to do that, they use 8 and 16 penny nails. These little guns, also called brad guns, are great for trimming out doors and windows and are really good for building bird houses, doll houses, signs and smaller shelves. They don't require the pressure a larger gun requires which means you don't have to have a $400 air compressor to use them.Use the lubricant that comes with it every time you use it and it will last for years.Great tool that really is handy to have around the house. Good luck with your auction. I'm sure someone will be thrilled to win this. :-)

Great auction F&W realtreeswwh could you tell me if this is the type they use to install hardwood flooring? Please, fan back.
Mar 10th, 2015 at 9:28:17 AM PDT by
Original
You can use three types of nailers on a hardwood floor: a flooring nailer, a finish nailer or a flooring and mallet nailer. Framing nail guns are not suitable due to nail size and configuration.

Thanks I am still watching because we going to start decorating in a primitive antique style and may still need the gun as I have trouble hammering with my arms.
