Never stated that they were. I in fact point out right in the description that these are "Zinc Chloride". Maybe try reading the description??

I do not see any note of an expiration date on them. I just got them 2 weeks ago from the store as a freebie for buying something else. They are brand new, so I would assume they are well within their lifespan. On another note, I don't believe I've ever seen expiration dates on any type of batteries except alkaline ones due to the fact that their chemical makeup dulls from shelf-life.
