How fun! These must have a great history to tell. How big (or small) are they? It appears they have different tops. Is one silver and the other silver plate? Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I love them. thanks njoy

They might be 2in, the tops are the same. Old age changed the color

I looked at the salt and pepper shakers again--they do have different colored tops--to tell salt from pepper
