Pastel pink dog leash for a small/medium dog. Leash is approximately four and a half feet long and 1/2 inch in diameter. Hook up has a 1/4 inch mouth.

I have another one identical to it that I use for my Boston Bull Terrier.

why is it not for a large dog?

That is up to the owner and the size of the dog. I just went by what was listed on the leash when I bought it. I guess it is rated for weight and pull. My dog only weighs about 23 lbs. Personally, it is not a leash that I would have put one of my Bull Mastiffs on.
