These are seeds directly out of the seed pod of a Golden Rain Tree from my mother-in-laws yard in Panama City, FL.
These trees are gorgeous from bright yellow lantern chainst to peachy colored when drying..
Good shade tree.
I have planted about 20 in a oblong pot, didn't even prep the seeds, just put them in the soil. They have already begun coming up and I have transferred 5 of them into pots to grow as seedlings

The Goldenrain Tree is an interesting tree bearing 10-inch panicles of yellow, fragrant flowers and red or brown pods. Sparingly branched with silver-gray furrowed bark. Autumn foliage turns yellow. Native to China, Korea and Japan. This very showy tree is ideal for yards and landscapes.

When choosing a location, keep in mind that the Goldenrain has a moderate growth rate. It grows up to 50 feet in height and 20 feet in spread. It can be planted in zones 5 to 9. Prefers full sun but will tolerate a variety of soil conditions. Requires additional water during hot conditions.
