The listing, ** 2 Pregnant Onion Babies ** has ended.

I am slowly starting my houseplant auctions again (yayyyy)!!!

This time I'm offering Pregnant Onion Houseplant babies!

These plants are not edible, but they are very interesting houseplants!

The winner will receive two of the bulbs (babies) that grow on the Mother plant.

The bulbs are planted no more than half way in the soil, and once they are about 1 1/2 - 2 inches in diameter, they will start getting little bumps under the skin. These are the "babies" forming. After a while, the skin will split to reveal the bulbs. The bulbs can be removed from the Mother plant to start new ones.

Pictures are of my Mother plants, and the winner will receive 2 of the bulbs they produce.

This is a very interesting houseplant, and kids love watching them "give birth" : )

If you have any questions, please ask.

As always, thanks for looking!

What is the purpose of them if you can't eat them? It's an onion.

It isn't an actual onion. The name is Pregnant Onion because it resembles an onion in appearance. I guess it's only purpose is being an interesting houseplant.

Hello, is this rooted?

No. These bulbs will not be rooted, as I don't remove them from the mother plant until the day I ship them. They do root very quickly once they're planted, though. Thanks for asking!
