You probably won't see many of these available these days. Up for auction is an Grand Opening medallion for The Omni in Atlanta. The Omni was the home of both the Atlanta Hawks and Flames as well as host for many concerts and other arena events.

Pictured on one side is the building itself with the words THE OMNI Atlanta, Georgia. On the other side of the coin are the Hawks and Flames logos with the words: GRAND OPENING NIGHTS * OCTOBER 14-15, 1972.

The Omni was an architectural marvel when first constructed, combining innovative design for the roof, seating, and the structure itself. The arena seated 16,378, for basketball and 15,278, for ice hockey. It was part of the Omni Complex, now known as the CNN Center.

The medallion has some minor condition issues but its still a piece of history worth owning! Coin measures 1 1/4 "
