I bought these seeds from Tomatofest.com for this year's crop. I've planted what I need and now want to share the extra's with a lucky winner. The picture is a stock photo from tomatofest where I bought my seeds.
I have 12 seeds to share with you! These are truly BETTER than the original San Marzanos for 2 reasons. First these are indeterminate which means they will produce until frost. Second these are MUCH larger than the original. It means less peeling and more tomato meat!
This is what tomatofest.com has to say about this variety.........
Days: 78
Size: Indeterminate
Color: Red
Season: Mid-Season
Type: Heirloom
Named for a mountain, Pizzo Redorta in Bergamo, Italy. This is Gary Ibsen's preferred Italian paste tomato. A much larger tomato (8 oz., 4-inch) with much better taste than its cousin, San Marzano. Good enough to eat off the vine with the bonus of ending up with more tomato paste per plant. Yum!
