The listing, Two pieces of Cotton Quilting Fabric, Lighthouses has ended.
Up for bid are two beautiful fat-quarter pieces of 100% cotton quilt-shop quality fabric. These are from a Robert Kaufman line called "Bayshore Collection". They feature many, many lighthouses ranging in size from about 2" to about 6" tall. As you can see, a piece about 3 1/2" square has been cut out of each; that is because I needed the Portland Head Lighthouse from each for a quilt I am making. These both started as fat quarters, which are about 18" x 20". One has been prewashed (the one in the first 6 photos, and the one in the last 4 photos has not been prewashed.Some of the lighthouses are: Admiralty Head, WA; Holland Harbor- Big Red, MI; Wind Point, WI; Yaquina Head, OR; Grand Haven S Pier, MI; Pemaquid Point, ME; Haceta Head, OR; Grosse Point, Il; Marble Head, OH; Montauk Point, NY; Pigeon Point, CA; Old Fairpoint Harbor, OH; Statue of Liberty, NY; Little Red, NY; Point Reyes, CA; Alcatraz Island, CA; Ocracoke, NC: Gay Head, MA; Bolivar, TX; Point Sur, CA; Point Pinos, CA; Hunting Island, SC; Point Loma, CA; Block Island S.E., RI; Cape May, NJ; Cape Hatteras, NC; Bodie Island, NC; Drum Point, MD; Assateague Island, VA; Split Rock MN; Cape Neddick- Nubble, ME; Cape Lookout, NC; Beavertail, RI; Marshall Point, ME; Sheffield Island, CT; and Bernegat, NJ. There are a few others but parts of them were chopped off when I took out the one I wanted.
These would be great featured in quilt blocks, or you could put fusible web on the back and cut out the individual lighthouses and fuse them onto a background for a more polished look.
All of my fabric is from a smoke-free and pet-free home.
