This is for at least 15 seeds (typically MORE) of my Lilac/pink colored Joey Ptilotus Seeds from last years (2014) season.
***Here is info for planting these from internet***
Joey is not only attractive, but also exhibits both heat and drought tolerance. Large, 3-4" bottlebrush spikes start out a glistening silver color, then gradually darkens to neon pink near the tips. The feathery spikes crown attractive thick silvery foliage of the 12-18" plants for a pleasing effect. Use Joey as an accent plant in mixed containers, or massed in the garden.
Growing Joey Ptilotus From Seeds
Germination:
5-7 days at 70-72 °F
Plug Culture:
Stage 1 requires light for germination.
Cover seed lightly with vermiculite after sowing.
Stage II moderate soil moisture levels.
Stage III: Gradually lower temperatures to 66-68 °F and lower soil moisture levels.
Stage IV: Temperatures can be reduced to 66 °C. Transplant plugs as scheduled and do not let plugs get root bound.
6-8 weeks after sowing transplant.
Use a well-drained media, pH 5.5-6.5
Light: Day neutral, but a light summation flowering response. Higher light levels promote shorter, better-branched plants with larger flowers.
Grow at 70-74 °F.
Avoid temperatures below 60 °F
Moderate to high fertilization levels are required.
Fertilize the crop weekly with 100-150 ppm nitrogen, using a complete and balanced fertilizer.
These are Annuals for me (I live in Zone 4).
