Have you mailed items with these without issues from the postal service or are they more of a novelty item for cards, etc?

They are both .. I have used these yes, post master says as long as the addresses are clear its ok.. but i do use tape (even on store bought envelopes as u never know what the post office does with ur packages) and i add address labels, (or a piece of paper with address written on it)
have had no issues
