The listing, Delaware has ended.
This small (64 pages) hardcover book was purchased at a library sale after it was withdrawn from circulation. Although it was copyrighted in in 2003, it is still chock full of very interesting and informative facts. For example, I was not aware of how much segregation was occurring up there after the Civil War. This book also Welcomes you to the First State, a small coastal state with a huge history. Delaware was the first colony to sign the U.S. Constitution, making it the first state in the nation. Relax on Delaware's famous beaches, or take a walk along the dunes of Cape Henlopen. Delaware has encouraged businesses, and today, many corporations have their headquarters in the state. This book would make a great addition to any family's library, especially those who have young children that are learning about the great United States of America in school
