Zone: 3 - 7 Perennial * Sun: Full Sun to part shade * Height: 24 in - 2 ft 4 in * Sowing: Direct Sow in spring 1/4” deep 1 to 2 weeks after average last frost, and as late as 2 months before average first frost - (Requires Darkness to Germinate) * Blooms: Early to mid Summer. A magnificent plant in your garden, particularly nice when grown in groups of three. Tall, elegant spires of closely packed, large, well formed blossoms in violet, lilac, lavender, rose, cream, and blue flowers. Pacific If started indoors in late winter, this Delphinium should bloom late in the season its first year, then on schedule thereafter. It does best in full sun or, in warmer climates, partial shade. Once the plant is established, shear it back almost to the ground right after flowering to encourage a second bloom in fall. Delphinium also appreciates a year-round mulch. Full morning and late afternoon sun with light shade during the hottest part of the day works best.
