Yes ,I used a 30 inch ruler and it had to add 10 more inches ,but there are padding inside : 2 pads on the side about a inch and half to 2 inches thick and one pad on the bottom the same thickness. ...it was a gift I didn't need so all tags was removed when I got it...sorry

ok, thanks. it sounds like it would be too big for a 10" laptop alone,
but maybe it would be fine to hold that along with a pair of external drives?
I like how it has all those pockets inside, and zip up so nothing can fall out.

I think I might got looked at the wrong side of the ruler ,if so then i would have measure it again ,but I know it's fits a large laptop at least 17 inches. .but i wll recheck tonight when I'm home from work
