The listing, 2005 Kennedy Half w/ Machined Doubling Error has ended.
This is a 2005 Kennedy Half Dollar with what some would call a "Double-Die Error" but with the new coining methods of the U.S. Mints, it is actually a Machine Doubling. http://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles/OtherFormsOfDoubling.htm

No problem! When it comes to numismatics, (collecting of coins & currencies) there are no stupid questions. If you don't know the answer, the only way to find out is to ask! Welcome to the fulfilling world of coin collecting!
Hi, I am new to coin collecting & am unable to tell which part of this coin is doubled. Please could you offer some advice? I checked out the link you put up but I am still somewhat confused. Thank-You!
Enlarge the pictures and look at the bottom of the words "UNITED STATES" You will notice the doubling effect, (or outlines) and it's even on some of the stars.
