Waw , I see a lot of discussion on this item..that's good.
Indeed Walmart has some , I guess the cheapest ones ( with one fan ) are about 12 $ excluding shipping..The ones with 3 fans are about 30$+

They might have certain models , but most of the ones on line you have to request to be shipped to Walmart next to you.

The important thing to laptop cooling is that you keep any vents on the bottom of the laptop open and breathing well, this will keep your laptop cool. Unfortunately, some years ago, they phased out putting retractable legs on the bottoms of laptops, which has made cooling a very big issue. Cooling pads are nice, in that they can keep the outer casing cooled down, but usually, there is only 2 fans, and they can cost upwards of 20 dollars!

That being said, this item is great in that it is cut away on the sides, allowing side vents to properly cool and not heat up the cooling pad itself! As well, there is a third center fan, which shows that this cooling pad is comparably a more expensive and more efficient cooling pad than your Walmart/Radio Shack cooling pads. Also, the black columns keep the laptop elevated off the surface of the cooling pad, actually allowing for maximum cooling.

Lastly, looking at the USB connection plug, it appears to have a male and female plug on both sides - this means you won't lose a USB plug when you use this cooling pad!

Really, it's a great product and I will be bidding on the next one you list.
