Description

The listing, Australia - set of 10 Marine Life & Gemstones mint stamps has ended.

Set of 10 mint stamps from Australia featuring marine life and gemstones. Backside and inside of the card features additional information about these (see additional photos).

Condition: full gum, mint never hinged, post office fresh

This makes a nice gift!

I have several of these sets, all identical, the scan is representative of what you will receive.

You must have a Listia-verified address!

These will be sent in a 6x9 inch envelope (which is the size of the card that these stamps are in). However, I am not responsible if the US Postal Service bends this item while in transit or if they need to "stuff" this into your mailbox.

While it is possible to add an additional stiffener, this would increase postage rates, so item will be mailed as a standard un-tracked 1st Class Mail envelope at your risk. If you wish to pay additional postage, then I can provide an extra stiffener as well as tracking (within USA only). First Class parcel postage with tracking within the USA is $2.32 if you wish to pay for the extra service (PayPal accepted!) and protection. Foreign shipping is possible, however, not free and no tracking available.

Shared on twitter for you. My stamp collecting friends will love it! Do you know a good local (TX) source of recent Aus issues?

By TX, you mean Texas? I don't collect Australian stamps, so I really don't know which local dealer here in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area has this. Most dealers consider stamps up to 20 years old still as "new issues"! Because of the sheer number of stamps issued each year is overwhelming, most dealers can't afford to buy new issues as it would tie up way too much of their operating funds.

When on occasion I need to buy "new issues" (in this case mostly after 2003) and if it's inconvenient or impossible to deal directly with the foreign postal administration, I buy from Bombay Stamps. They are dedicated to selling new stamp issues from practically every country on the planet. Their contact info and website is here:

Yes, I mean Texas. I am also in the DFW area. I know you are very connected to the stamp community (got your letter with the last auction I won from you) so I figured if anybody knew, you would!! I have also found it very hard to find Aus stamps from 2000s-today here in the States. And overseas shipping gets expensive. Thanks so much for the info about Bombay.

As you may know, there are no more physical stamp stores in the entire DFW area (kind of sad, considering a population of 6.5 million!). And as I mentioned, most traditional dealers don't stock what they call "new issues", which in some cases goes back at least 20 or more years!

Best I can suggest is coming to the next TSDA (Texas Stamp Dealers Bourse), to be held at the Richardson Civic Center on Fri/Sat, April 10/11 (free parking, free admission). There will be about 10 - 12 dealers in attendance. See www.tsdastamps.com for more info.

Otherwise, come to our club's show, the 28th Annual EXPO, to be held Fri/Sat, November 13/14 at the Grapevine Convention Center. We will have 28 stamp dealers, including ones from other states, in addition to 960 pages of stamp exhibits, a show cancel & cachet, beginning collector table (with lots of free stamps), a huge mixture pick and a silent auction benefitting the club. If you're not on our club's mailing list already, please reply privately to me with your mailing info and I'll pass it on the show chairperson that handles the mailout later in the year!
