My Uncle has some similar to this and they are extremely heavy~I thought they were made of plaster? They are very detailed and make beautiful display pieces

Yes, they are extremely heavy, and I don't know for sure. I presumed that it was plaster/chalkware, but I've felt plaster statues before and this is much, much heavier...it's not hollow, that's for sure LOL!

I thought this whole time that it said it in the title, but I was mistaken. Anyway, I will do FREE US SHIPPING WITH GIN :)

I'm not sure what happened- I added fifteen pictures when I listed it. Are you looking on the Listia app or online?

What is this made of

I'm really not sure- whatever the Universal Statuary Corp used lol. It seems to be heavier than plaster but info about the company says they used chalkware until the 1950's and then moved on to a material called "FiberClad InFrangible" which they guaranteed would not break or chip. Please note, I am *not* making that guarantee lol- as I do not know for certain what this is made of! Thanks for your interest!

What is this made of and will you split the shipping?

Plaster/chalkware possibly or their patented material. I don't know for sure. Never investigated- just liked the looks of it sitting around, but don't really have room for it anymore...can't afford to split shipping, esp. for such low credit amount. See the GIN option.

I'll go for it, will you split the shipping. Thanks, Gerry

No, I'm sorry, I can't. The shipping stated is what it will cost me to mail it, including packaging materials to keep it safe. I'm not making a profit here, and if you research these, you'll see they are worth much more than 2,499 Listia credits. Please feel free to use the GIN option and I'll pay for US Shipping.
