Description

The listing, Daily Mirror Newspaper "ALLIES INVADE FRANCE" were the headlines in 1944 has ended.

This auction is for a June 1944 NY Daily Mirror Newspaper, A Servicemen's Edition with the headline "Allies Invade France". It is Vol. 1 No. 23.

The Servicemen's Edition NY Daily Mirror was the compliments of Spear & Company Furniture Store, one of many retailers, (where this issue was obtained by an uncle) so that it could then be sent to servicemen overseas.

The paper measures 6 1/2" by 9" and is 12 pages long. The newspaper featured war news, national and local news, an editorial page, a sports section and a comic section featuring "Joe Palooka" by Ham Fisher.

The newspaper is in super nice condition. It has been covered and sealed all this time as you can see in the photos. Corners, center fold and edges are in real nice shape.
