The listing, Netgear Wireless USB Adapter has ended.

This is a wireless internet adapter for computers that do not have the internal ethernet card. I used this for about five years on a Dell PC and it worked with different wireless routers, not just Netgear. It still works perfectly, only reason I'm giving it away is because the PC died and I don't need it anymore! What you see in the picture is the adapter itself on the bottom right (which can be used by itself especially with a laptop), an extender on the left that is bendable (good for PCs), and the installation CD. It's worth over $60.

i have this same one and trust me its great, if you tape it up high on a window it will pick up quite a ways away. came in really handy when my internet went out:) granted if your doing that way its gonna be a little slower but beggars cant be choosers when it comers to that

i had to use the adapter plug and a longer cord, also if you take like a foil baking pan and tape it or attach it to the window and mount the adapter inside youd get like 20 to 30 percent signal boost

oh and as for the laptop setup, unless your laptop doesnt already have the wireless built in, its not a good idea cause it will try to conflict with the built in wireless setup
